Today I want to share some encouragement for you, or “coffee for your heart,” if you will. The always encouraging Holley Gerth is hosting a wonderful challenge this year and I am so excited to be a part of it! Here is how Holley phrased it: “The concept is simple: I’m asking you to pour out a little love with your words every Wednesday.” This challenge is perfect timing for me! I have been praying for God to show me how I could encourage others through my blog and He has answered my prayers through Holley’s challenge!1 Timothy 1:1 First of all, then, I urge supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, (ESV)
With 2014 starting, I want you to know how much you mean to me and that I pray for you. I’m serious! It doesn’t matter if I don’t know you personally every time you comment on here or like my post on Facebook or repin one of my pins. I pray for you.
I pray that you will find joy and love doing that craft or making that recipe. I pray that my advice or opinions helps you in your life. I pray that God will bless you because you are such a blessing to me!
I’m gonna let you in on a little secret. You ready? As a stay-at-home-mom I spend the majority of my time talking and reading to a toddler and a baby. And I love my job! I would not trade it for anything! However, because I am busy doing things with them all day I do not have the time, often enough, to pick up the phone and chat with a gal pal about a new recipe, craft, whatever. So I blog it and through your comments I get my grown-up talking in! You see? You truly are a blessing to me!
Each Wednesday during Holley’s challenge I am going to encourage you because you have been such an encouragement and blessing to me!
By the way it’s not too late to get involved with the Coffee for Your Heart: 2014 Encouragement Challenge. If you are a blogger make sure you check out Holley’s blog to get next week’s topic. If you don’t blog you can always encourage others through your social media sites. Post an encouraging comment or status to a friend. Tweet some encouragement to your followers. Or why not dust off your beautiful stack of stationary and write an encouraging note to someone?
As you take part in Holley’s challenge come back here and let me know what you are doing to encourage others!
Have a blessed day!
