As you might remember I liked the first homemade daily shower spray I made (found here). I just had one problem with that it made the tub very slick after using it. I figured the problem was caused by the Dawn in it. So I searched for a recipe that did not contain Dawn.
I found quite a few that used other ingredients and decided to try out the ones that used alcohol and water. After averaging the amounts from a few different alcohol and water recipes I ended up with the following ratios.
I added in the tea tree oil because I not only love the way it smells but I love all the antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral.
- 2/3 cup alcohol
- 2 cups water
- 20 drops tea tree oil
- In a spray bottle combine alcohol, water, and tea tree oil.
- Put the spray lid back on and shake to mix.
Spray entire shower and tub area after each use.
I have been using this shower spray for a couple months now and I gotta say I’m pretty impressed with it. The tea tree oil gives the bathroom a nice, fresh smell and keeps soap scum, mildew, and mold from growing!
Go try out my homemade daily shower spray and let me know what you think!
Have a blessed day!
