I love Pumpkin Pie spice. It is my absolute favorite seasoning. Plus it just screams “FALL!” Don’t you agree? Let’s be honest, that little tiny bottle you get at the store is waaay over priced.

Homemade pumpkin pie spice recipes are all over the web and most of them just say equal parts cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. I noticed that those recipes left out my favorite ingredient in pumpkin pie spice: cloves! Ground cloves add a warmth and depth to homemade pumpkin pie spice. I think it really makes the pumpkin pie spice sing and gives it character.

I love using pumpkin pie spice in everything from pies and cookies to smoothies and chai tea. Pumpkin pie spice chai tea is my jam, ya’ll! LOL! My hubby love to add it to his coffee. He adds a tablespoon or so to the grounds before he brews it so that the whole pot is full of pumpkin spicey goodness.

Do you make your own pumpkin pie spice?  What do you put your pumpkin pie spice in?

Have a great day!
