I love my homemade tile and tub cleaner. What I don’t love is having to drag all those ingredients out every week! So I decided to try and figure out a way to pre-make the cleaner without it losing it’s potency. And score! I succeeded!
Here’s what I did. First I picked up two sets of reusable, tight sealing containers at the dollar store. I also made sure that they were a completely different color than the storage containers I use for our food. This way I prevent any chance of us (i.e. James) trying to store food in one of them.
The next time I made the cleaner I simply measured out extra dry ingredients into three of the containers and extra sets of the liquid ingredients into the other three containers. Finally, I screwed the lids on and stored them under the bathroom sink. Yippee! Now I only have to drag all the ingredients out once a month! So far this process is working and none of the ingredients have spoiled. I was a little worried about the lemon juice going bad but it has not!
Do you have a time saver for making homemade cleaners?
Have a blessed day!
