During Tot school with the girls we focus on one letter each week. This week is the letter Y. Here is our Tot School Letter Y Books list.
I have been trying to read about 2 books a day or 10 books a week that fall in the theme for that week. Of course, our main focus is letters but sometimes I’ll throw in a book or two about numbers, shapes, or colors. I only managed to find 8 books for the letter Y.
I am teaching both Cakey and Doodles. Although I’m teaching at Cakey’s level, I try to throw in a book or two for Doodles each week, but a good majority of the books are above both the girls. I love to challenge them through reading this way. Interestingly enough after just few weeks of doing this, both the girls are enjoying and asking for the more challenging books to be read during “non-school” time!
