Last year I threw a Grinch-mas party. I had lots of fun coming up decorations, games, and food. And I’m super excited to start sharing them with you. At the bottom of the post you will find links to all the other posts.
This Who Inspired Ornament Grinchmas Craft is super cute and easy to make. The base of the ornament is made from card stock. Then the ornament is decorated with stickers by the kids.
Who Inspired Ornament Grinchmas Craft
Supplies:
- Cardstock in assorted colors (I used lime green, pink, and blue)
- Brads
- Ribbon or cord for hanging
- 1/4 in or 6 mm hole punch
- 1/8 in or 3 mm hole punch
- Eyelets 1/4 in or 6mm
- Eyelet setter or hammer
- Scissors
- Paper cutter
- Lighter, optional

Directions:
- Cut out two 1.5 inches by 7 inches rectangles from a piece of cardstock using a paper cutter.
- Repeat with as many ornaments you are making.
- Cut out two 1.5 inches by 5.75 inches rectangles from a piece of cardstock.
- Repeat with as many ornaments you are making.
- Cut out one 1.5 inches by 5 inches rectangles from a piece of cardstock.
- Repeat with as many ornaments you are making.
- Lay one 7 inch strip down, place a 5.75 inch strip on top, then a 5 inch strip, next a 5.75 inch strip, and finally a 7 inch strip all stacked like a sandwich.
- Line up the strips at one end and using a 1/4 inch punch carefully punch a hole in the middle about a quarter of an inch from the top.
- Then line up the strips at the other end and using a 1/8 inch punch carefully punch a hole in the middle about a quarter of an inch from the bottom.
- Line the strips back up at the top (the side with the 1/4 inch hole) and insert an eyelet (1/4 in or 6 mm). Secure the eyelet by using a hammer or an eyelet setter.
- Cut a piece of ribbon or cord 6 inches long. Then thread it through the eyelet.
- Tie the cord in place to create a hanger. Burn the ends of the cord to keep from unraveling if needed.
Supplies for decorating:
- Jewel stickers
- Markers or crayons
- Foam glitter stickers
- Glitter glue
- Brad
To Decorate:
- Let the kids decorate their Who Inspired Ornament using glitter stickers and jewel stickers.
- If you have more time and space you could let the kids decorate with glitter glue, markers, or crayons. Just allow them to dry before bagging up.
- After the kids have decorated their ornament, line the holes at the bottom up and install the brad.
- Place the ornament in the zip top bag for the kid to take home.

Tips:
- Worked in stages on making the ornaments for the kids to decorate.
- Cut paper strips over the course of a few days.
- Then installed the eyelets, tied the cord, and put it in a zip top bag.
- To make things run smoother at a party, I had the ornaments in zip top bags with the brad and sticker sheets.
I love how the Who Inspired Ornament Grinchmas Craft came out. It was a huge hit at the party and the kiddos loved their Grinchmas ornaments too.
While I used this for a Grinch-mas party it would be wonderful at any Dr. Seuss themed party. By having the ornaments in bags, if the kids don’t finish they can easily take it home to complete which makes it a great idea for school or club parties.
