School is just around the corner! One of our favorite ways to celebrate the start of a new school year is by reading picture books. We read a couple of books each night leading up to the start of school.

The list of 10 First Day of Kindergarten Picture Books are perfect for read-alouds. They are also great for budding readers who are just beginning to practice reading on their own or with someone. The books are about Kindergarten and easing the fears of the first day. Some of the books have the added bonus of including the alphabet or counting.
