School is just around the corner! One of our favorite ways to celebrate the start of a new school year is by reading books. We read a couple of books each night leading up to the start of school.

The list of 25 First Day of School Books are perfect for read-alouds. Some books are great for budding readers who are just beginning to practice reading on their own or with someone. While others are for more seasoned readers. The books are about returning to school and easing the fears of the first day.
