Cinnamon Sugar Seasoning is a staple in our house but it can be kinda expensive which is why I started making it from scratch. This dry seasoning is easy to make, store, and use. Once you start making it you’ll wonder why you ever purchased it pre-made before!

Kick up the flavor of everything from coffee to toast and oatmeal with this flavorful, homemade version of cinnamon sugar seasoning. It is a mix of vanilla sugar and cinnamon.

Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Seasoning
Kick up the flavor of everything from coffee to toast and oatmeal with this flavorful, homemade version of cinnamon sugar seasoning. It is a mix of vanilla sugar and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup vanilla sugar
  • 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
  1. Place all ingredients in a clean glass jar.
  2. Screw the lid of the jar on tight and shake to combine.
  3. Store in a cool, dry place.
  4. Shake before each use.

Makes a little over 1 cup.

To use:
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons to your cup of coffee or tea.
  • Sprinkle on buttered toast.

Homemade cinnamon sugar seasoning can be used instead of regular sugar in your favorite dessert recipes. I love it in my coffee and tea. The kiddos love a bit sprinkled on top of buttered toast or mixed in with their oatmeal. There are so many tasty ways to use this seasoning.

By making your own seasoning you can use high quality ingredients while still making a seasoning that cost less than buying pre-made. It also allows you to eliminated any ingredients that you don’t like and gives you total control over the spiciness of the seasoning.
